Independent Truckers Group Inc. is a professional trade association based in Memphis, Tennessee that was created in 1997. ITG was created with the purpose of providing services and benefits that would improve the working environment of the independent truck driver. It was also created to enable truck lines to solve the problem of wanting to help their independent contractor drivers without jeopardizing that driver’s independent status.

Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of our members through our member benefits area. The services we provide make an immediate impact on our members bottom line. The products we make available are packaged as an exclusive offering that allows our member’s access to plans that would otherwise not be available.

Membership Criteria:
Any person, firm or corporation actively engaged in the transportation industry will be eligible for non-voting membership in the Association and may become a non-voting member by signing a membership application/agreement and paying required dues. Membership in the Association will provide Association members access to the various programs and services offered by through the Association and/or by its outside vendors.

• “The association does not condition membership in the association on any health-status related factor relating to an individual (including an employee of an employer or a dependent of an employee)”;

• “The health insurance coverage offered through the association is made available to all members regardless of any health status-related factor relating to such members (or individuals eligible for coverage through a member)”; and

• “The association does not make health insurance coverage offered through the association available other than in connection with someone who is a member of the association”.
